Then...I also read and re-read this talk - 4 times! Then I had Keith read it. Interestly, I even enjoyed the footnotes. There are so many ways to go with this subject, but the one that I'm focusing on right now is personal responsiblity. It is true that "self-discipline has eroded'. The idea that is something isn't illegal, then it's acceptable. Lately, I can hardly go to a public place (mall, store, etc) without being subjected to vulgar language. The same thing is true for PDA's, agressive driving, etc. "Policemen and laws can never replace customs, traditions and moral values as a means for regulating human behavior." <br />On the other hand, I am impressed by the number of people who will still hold a door open for someone else, who behave in a decent, mannerly way. These things are taught from childhood. Elder Christofferson is correct: we teach our children moral behavior based on the Savior's example. This is how the world influenced.Nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11396631927257996854noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7680579301463296297.post-52555415279799833492009-11-23T22:25:27.583-07:002009-11-23T22:25:27.583-07:00I have read and re read this talk several times. ...I have read and re read this talk several times.
